Karen at the front desk is fantastic. We had an issue with our cell phone and she did her best to help resolve the issue. That was above and beyond. Karen is also a wealth of knowledge on Denmark and provided many recommendations on what to see in the area or on route to our next destination. The hotel is also undergoing renovations on various parts or buildings and I think that will be welcome changes. The renovations did not impact our stay. Very quiet stay and restful. Breakfast was great. Would stay again.

The historical building is pictureque and well maintained, even though it is attached to a petrol station and car-wash and it is very close to a busy road. Without those it would be idyllic! Bikes were rented for free and this a very good service. I had a problem with the key and staff was very kind to find another one to let me in the room. Rooms at the first floor of the old building have all a sloping ceiling, which is charming, but togehter with steep stairs must be considered when you book a room.

They all made us feel welcome and very well received, from the moment we checked in, all along all our stay, and even after we checked out –we had a little problem about a sweater I forgot in the room, and the staff were very quick to respond and they promptly solved it. The location is very quiet, which I appreciate greatly, the breakfast is very varied, and the room was perfect and very cozy with everything we needed for our stay, just as we wanted.

Not too far out from centre of hotel. Plenty of free parking. Room was not in main hotel building but in one of the annex buildings on ground floor. Clean. Room was average size. Had desk and chair. TV, free WiFi. Separate wardrobe area for hanging clothes with drawers. Tea/Coffee making facilities in room. Small bathroom with shower. Underfloor heating. Fresh towels. Hairdryer. Breakfast buffet style mix of hot and cold options. Friendly, helpful staff.

The breakfast was good although not a large selection of choices - both warm and cold foods. Wi-Fi worked fine and the hotel was good value and had an interesting history.
